  It is a Historical place as well as summer retreat for interested travellers situated at around 96 km from Bengaluru.
 
  This place is in Nagamangala taluk, Mandya District which has rocky hills and beautiful picturesque landscape. The small town is popular for Bhairava worship.
     Perfect place for nature lovers. Lord Kalabhairaveshwara is worshipped at Adichunchanagiri math.
 
     Climbing the rocky hill is a tremondous experience. The wind blows at high velocity at the top of the hill.

 The best time to visit would be winter and early summer since you can have some greenery around.There is a peacoc sanctury nearby which is worth visiting. Besides the innumerable peacocks that thrive in this place Peacock Sanctuary in Adichunchanagiri also provides asylum to bonnet macaque, fruit bat, jungle cat, hare and common mongoose.
 
   Food is available at the village Adichunchanagiri.
